Since 2013, Multitel’s Artificial Intelligence department has been active in the biomedical field through various research projects and industrial services. Whether through the automation of certain processes in clinical trials (diagnosis targets localization, reagent measurement, etc.), improved visualization of medical data or the development of ICT tools dedicated to the medical and paramedical sectors, the objective of the department is to integrate the latest technological advances in Artificial Intelligence into the development of innovative solutions dedicated to the healthcare actors.
The department’s work in the biomedical field includes improvements in 2D and 3D visualization of medical images by correcting, transforming and/or combining the original data. For example, Multitel has developed a software solution dedicated to cystoscopy (examination of the bladder) capable of generating bladder panoramas and thus responding to the problems of the limited field of view of the endoscope.
Computer-aided diagnostic tools
By using its Artificial Intelligence skills, Multitel seeks to supply computer-aided diagnosis aid by providing objective analysis and quantification of data of interest by image processing. For instance, Multitel works on the automatic reading of the reaction intensity of organic substances in diagnostic tests. By providing rapid, quantitative and objective screening, the tools developed by Multitel provide assistance to the medical, paramedical and biotechnological sectors.
Multitel also wishes to provide therapeutic assistance through the implementation of customized monitoring, interaction and communication tools for patients with cognitive disorders. Multitel has notably implemented applications aimed at measuring and training the attention of autistic children using automatic gaze tracking.
